Giving is a reflection of a grateful heart and tithing is a spiritual discipline.  Many individuals and families give generously and from a joyful heart on a consistent basis at First. 

How we spend money is a reflection of where our hearts are.  As someone who gives at First, you are a part of all that we do:

• In 2009 and 2010, 10% of every dollar is budgeted to support missions, locally, nationally and around the world.
• Each week more than 200 children attend a Small Group and a Worship Service designed just for them.
• Each week over 200 teenagers come together and worship then spend time together finding out what God's word has for them, preparing them for the week ahead, as well as their futures.
• Each week hundreds of adults gather to worship.
• Each week new families visit First, many the result of your invitations.
• Each week there are groups that meet at First to overcome grief, learn to manage their money, strengthen or restore marriages and some who meet just to pray.
• Each week many people serve in volunteer positions to make church "happen."

First Baptist has made it easy for you to give right here on the web.  Through our E-Giving webpage, you can:

• Give your tithe to the church's general fund
• Give your gift towards our "Moving Forward" land and missions initiative
  

Giving online has two funding options: automatic account withdrawal or debit card (credit cards not accepted).  You can use our online giving as often as you want or set up an automatic recurring schedule.  There are several benefits, here are a few:

1. It takes the pressure of having your gift ready when the offering plate is passed and allows you to focus on the message.
2. It's a step of faith, deciding to give in advance and to give consistently.
3. It simplifies your life.
4. You will feel great about being obedient to God
