Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting!!

"You are the salt of the earth...
You are the light of the world."
Matthew 5:13-14

Our prayer for you is that you use these precious few days to give good focus to "Knowing Christ and Making Him Known." God will use these days in your life to help you better understand the JOY that you are to HIM and how much He desires to lead your life through each moment of each days. You are NOT alone...He is with you!!  Our Father wants us to know that TRUTH and to increasingly rely on Him!! These 21 days will help you to that end.

Thank you for reading that very brief daily insight from our staff. You will notice that the days give good focus to...
  • Connection with God
  • Connection with others who do not know Jesus
  • Community with others who do know Jesus and help you know Him

Each of these areas of life are crucial to "making the most of every opportunity" (Ephesians 5) in this one life that God has given to us!
Thank you for:
  • Reading
  • Praying
  • Fasting (maybe one day per week, or even on meal per week...maybe even fasting from a electronic device one day to spend more time in concentrated prayer)
  • Telling others Good News so they can know Jesus
  • Sharing the life you have in Christ with others who help you know Jesus

"...let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16

You are loved!

Day One

Connect

Scripture:

Psalm 63:1
You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water.

Observation:

• In your personal life do you seek God first or is God a last resort?

• If God is not what you are longing for or seeking first, what are you seeking after and where is that leading you? What is the result?

Apply:

How can you apply this to your life today?

Prayer:

Dear God,
There are times when I try so hard to fulfill things in my own life, only to end up just as empty as I was when I started. Give me the heart and the wisdom to not do life on my own but to seek you first in all that I do. Let my heart long for time together and to allow you to lead.

Pray for ongoing ways to connect with friends at Welcome Inn.
