DAY EIGHTEEN
Community
Scripture:
Philippians 2:3-8-
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Observation:
• How does humility towards others look in your life?
• Who do you need to reach out to and apologize to? How can you serve them as Jesus would have?
Apply:
How can you apply this to your life today?
Prayer:
God,
My natural response is to make today about me. Yet, you have called us to put others first. Make my heart sensitive to that today and guide my steps into places to serve others first. Help me see the joy in making life about others. Use my actions today to draw them near to You.
Pray for WNL and EXODUS XL. Pray for the community of young people in our church and their journey with Jesus.
